News from Pro Content and DesignThe great server migration of 2008Thursday, January 17, 2008If you're a Pro Content and Design hosting customer, you will be seeing a few minor changes. We are moving all the websites onto a new server, for the sake of ensuring a more modern infrastructure. Most of our customers will notice zero difference at all. Thanks to the migration path PCD undertook, the websites will experience little if any downtime (as in, no more than a few minutes).Folks who rely on PCD's webmail will see a significant improvement in spam blocking. We're always pleased to serve. Some webmail customers will experience being locked out of their email. Please call me immediately and I will restore your email as soon as possible. The server's general performance and availability should improve. Our name server resolution on the new server has improved dramatically. Also, the onset of sluggishness from overload is near nil. We may be able to abandon the nightly reboot once and forever. If you experience any disruption of services, please contact me immediately. Thank you, John Crawford Pro Content and Design |
