Galbraith Computer & Resale website opens

Galbraith Computer & Resale is now up and running. The text needs fleshed out, but that remains to be explored with the owner. Several thanks, again, to graphic designer Bill Krausmann for his advice and ideas on the design of the website.

GCR is a PHP-driven point-of-contact website that allows the website owner (business owner, Steve Galbraith of Big Run, PA) to edit the main content using a slightly adapted version of the Bedrock AMS system.

This implementation of Bedrock AMS allows quick and easy editing of the five main pages: home, repair, sales, about, and contact. The website owner simply logs into a simple editing panel, that allows him to use a simple visual editor to add and arrange text, images, and links with complete font formatting for the three most common web font styles (Times, Arial, and Courier), with bold, italic, and underline formatting. It also allows image uploads.

There is zero need to know HTML, JavaScript, PHP or any other web standard language.

A slightly different approach to the basic point-of-contact website. Hopefully a slightly better approach, too.

The logo design is Steve's work. The PHP is all PCD's work. CSS code is PCD's with a fair amount of design input from Bill Krausmann.

The overall website is a basic 5-pager with a full-width header and links on the left-hand side along with contact information. The website owner's content is in the center and right-hand zones. Nothing too zany.
